How to thread through a needle

Kogin thread is thick and soft, so even if the needle hole is large it is hard to pass normally. In such a case please try this method.

① Hook on the needle with the end of the thread in the loop.

② Pull out the thread from the needle by squeezing the hooked it to tight. Then, the edge of the thread pressed in half is shaped at the fingertip.

③ Pass the pressed tip through the needle hole and pull out the thread.

How to conveniently stitch

In sewing, holding the cloth in the hand, the method of moving the needle and advancing the stitch is common. However, if it is difficult to move the needle with a hard cloth in hand, there is also a method to use a frame for embroidery or a DIY frame, and tack the cloth to the frame and stitching it.

Handling of a needle: In the case of a soft cloth (pick up several stitchings at the same time, advance the needle forward, stitch quickly.)

Framing system: When you can not move needle well with a hard cloth etc. (Pick up the stitches one by one and move the needle up and down, the stitching surely finish cleanly.)

Twist the thread again

If the twist of the thread loosens while stitching, Don’t proceed as it is, it turns the needle in the direction of twist and returns the twist. It is a point to finish the texture of the stitch uniformly. Conversely, if the twist becomes strong, loosen it by reverse rotation.

It is a phenomenon like the picture below as loosening of twist of yarn.

The left side is the first stage of stitching. There is even twist in the thread.
The right side is the final stage of the stitch. There is no twist in the yarn bundle. If this happens, the thread becomes more susceptible to damage, making it difficult to make a beautiful finish. It is necessary to twist back frequently.

Itokoki

In order to make the stitch uniform and beautiful, the finish will be improved by Itokoki after inserting through the needle.

“Itokoki” is to squeeze cloth with fingertips along the seam, and avoid cloth pulling and shrinking. By also applying this frequently, we will achieve beautiful embroidery plump.
